Woodall To York if the A1 is smashed jct 42...44

Me and Mick got this last night, as my GPS said closed I doubted myself checking at Woodall as nothing on the Matrix boards, until we were commited on the M18 then bang (A1 42..44 closed nice of them)....there is another solution (Micklefield below) but this also worked as we took it and it only cost us 7 minutes, which I made up easy into the boro.

At Junction 42 A1 instead of turning left to Micklefield diversion, turn right on the A63 until you see the A162, simply stay on this following towards Tadcaster until you pick up the A64 then spin a right and head into York. The A162 is a bit snug in places, but we've driven through worse.
